What is Meson.Fi?

Meson serves as the faster and safer way to execute low-cost, zero-slippage BTC, ETH, and stablecoin payments across chains. In addition, Meson has launched a Chrome extension that enables users to pay general x402 payments on any chain supported directly from Chrome. This includes the SKALE on Base chain and is what the Meson team will be discussing and sharing in their demo and interview below. 

What are you demoing for us today?

This demo shows a typical Skale on Base x402 payment experience using Meson x402 Chrome extension. This extension allows user to pay for Skale on Base x402 payment request just like common on-chain payment experience.

How are you utilizing x402?

Here is the high-level breakdown of the demo flow: 

1. The resource server blocks the initial request with an HTTP 402 (Payment Required) status code that specifies the price and destination address. 
2. The Meson extension intercepts this signal and prompts the user to sign the transaction, which settles instantly on Skale on Base with zero gas fees. 
3. Meson attaches the transaction proof to the request headers and automatically retries, allowing the server to verify the payment and serve the content immediately.
