SF Agentic Commerce x402 Hackathon: Recap and Winners

SKALE Network

Last week, builders from across AI, agents, Web3, DeFi, and commerce came together for the San Francisco Agentic Commerce x402 Hackathon. A hybrid, 3-day build sprint designed to push “agentic commerce” forward with agents that can act as real buyers and sellers.

Event snapshot

With build tracks from partners Coinbase, Google, and Virtuals, the SKALE-led hybrid hackathon (SF hub + global online participation) had over $50,000 in prizes to giveaway to some of the best hackers in the space. Emphasis was placed on shipping real demos that integrate x402 into an actual payment/commercial flow and projects were judged on partner integration (track-dependent), agentic depth, commerce realism, and polish/ship-ability.

By the numbers

  • 324 hackers registered
  • 86 builds submitted
  • 275k+ onchain transactions

Winners

Overall Track: Best Agentic App / Agent

1st Place: World of Geneva - A next-generation MMORPG where AI agents autonomously play the game while human players observe as agents complete quests, fight mobs, trade items, and progress through a multi-zone world.

2nd Place: Moltbet - A decentralized infrastructure layer for the agentic economy: a prediction market built specifically for autonomous AI agents, offering a headless/programmatic environment rather than a traditional human GUI.

What’s next: Post-hackathon grants

To keep momentum going, SKALErecently announced a post-hackathon grant program worth $250,000 of CREDITs. These CREDITs are to be allocated to outstanding projects that show innovation, technical excellence, and meaningful potential impact in the SKALE ecosystem. Teams must have registered for the hackathon, built on or integrated with SKALE during the event, and commit to continued development afterward.

Thank you

Huge thanks to everyone who built, mentored, supported, and judged with a special shoutout to the partners who helped make the hackathon possible! The Agentic Commerce + x402 ecosystem is moving fast, and this hackathon proved that builders are ready to ship real, working prototypes in real time and fast. .
